Besilen insulated compensating and extension cables are made of alloys that are not identical with the equivalent thermocouple. The substitute material has thermo-electric properties in the allowed temperature range usually 0 up to+200 °C for the compensating cable that should be the similar to corresponding thermocouple. They are recognized by the letter C adapted to DIN IEC 584. The “C” appears behind the code letter to classify the thermocouple, for instance KC.
Extension cables are designed of conductors with indistinguishable titular structure to the corresponding thermocouple. These are recognized with the letter “X” adapted to DIN IEC 584. It appears in the back of the code letter to identify the thermocouple, for instance JX. The wires and extensions are tested within a temperature range of the 0 up to +200 °C. Thermocouple cables are consist of the similar material as the thermocouple and tested for the same temperatures.
